Ingress is a global augmented reality massively multiplayer online role playing GPS-dependent game created by Niantic, Inc. for Android and Apple iOS devices. The game has a complex science fiction back story with a continuous open narrative. It's capture-the-flag meets Geocaching on your smartphone, with two factions that are battling for the future of humanity.

The Resistance aims to prevent the Shaper influence on Earth. They believe that the Shapers do not have the best intention for mankind. They resist the change that may be for the safety of what currently is. Struggling to protect what is left of humanity they have the firm belief that they are doing what is best.
